CRANBROOK FRIENDS ASSOCIATION

The History of the CFA

The Cranbrook Friends Association (CFA) formerly known as the PTA is an exciting and innovative new initiative. It is a partnership that was established in 2011 between Cranbrook Primary School, local businesses, community organisations, parents, volunteers and members of the community.

The CFA is a registered charity. Its main objective is to organise and facilitate fundraising and social events throughout the school year. All proceeds raised go directly into the provision of resources for Cranbrook pupils, such as playground equipment, Christmas presents, Children’s entertainers, Gym equipment etc.

Cranbrook Primary School is based in the heart of a diverse community. By developing links and building key partnerships, the CFA provides a unique opportunity for the different sectors to work in cohesion and strengthen the community.

The CFA consists of a Core committee who meet on a termly basis to plan an annual programme of events. Various subcommittees then meet on a more regular basis to organise each of these events.

All parents, carers and members of the community are welcome to join the CFA.

If you would like to volunteer for the CFA or become a member, please telephone 0208 518 2562 and speak to Beverley Boothe or Amanda Irons.
