Cranbrook Primary School aims to work in close partnership with parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes for our pupils.
We offer a wide range of services for parents and carers whose children attend our school.

Numeracy Course: Autumn Term 2015
This is a 6 week course which enables parents/carers to support their children with Maths
Literacy Course: Spring Term 2016
This is a 6 week course which enables parents/carers to support their children with Literacy
Parenting Course: Spring Term 2016
This is a 5 week course designed to support parents/carers to manage their child’s behaviour, build self esteem, enhance existing skills and develop new ones
Science Course: Summer Term 2016
This is a 6 week course which enables parents/carers to support their children with Science

Secondary School Transition Workshop: Autumn Term 2015
This is a practical workshop designed to help parents/carers of Year 6 pupils to complete their Secondary School Application Form online. Translation services are available for this workshop.

Cranbrook Friends Association (CFA)
The CFA is a registered charity. Its members consist of parents, carers, staff, community members, local organisations and local businesses whose aim is to organise events to raise funds for the benefit of Cranbrook pupils. All Cranbrook parents and carers are welcome to join the CFA.

Parent Representatives are recruited throughout the year. Parent Reps act as the voice of the parents across each year group and take on a key organisational role for CFA and other social events. Parent Reps are required for one off events so this role offers more flexibility for parents/carers.

Volunteers for class trips are required on an occasional basis throughout the school year.

Cranbrook Volunteer Programme
The Cranbrook Volunteer Programme provides an opportunity to volunteer on a long term basis. Volunteers are recruited on an annual basis via a formal recruitment process. Volunteers on this programme are usually classroom based. This role requires a long term commitment from parents, carers or members of the community.

One to One Support: (Via Referral)
One to one support is available (via referral) for parents/carers to enable them to address some of the challenges that might affect a child’s education surrounding issues such as homelessness, bereavement, mental health, divorce, domestic abuse, substance misuse or custodial sentences. This service is available via referral and may be delivered in partnership with a specialist agency.
